Hello, my name is Misty Albury and I am assisting Jennifer Knowles with the fundraising for medical expenses for her beloved husband Jason Knowles, who a lot of you may know from the Whitty K, Class C, sloop sailing. Jason took ill suddenly on Thursday afternoon, August 10th, without any warning. He was diagnosed with acute kidney failure, pneumonia, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus Bacteria (MRSA) and has been in Doctors Hospital, Intensive Care Unit since. Jason is currently on life support requiring 95% oxygen at this time, while being kept sedated. He is requiring dialysis to help with his kidney function. This will be a very long road to recovery for Jason. However, we have had positive improvements. Unfortunately, Jason has no medical insurance and we are reaching out to friends, family members and the public to help us with this major medical expense.
