Funeral for Sudeep and medical expenses for Gowri

We are deeply saddened to inform that Sudeep Srinivas, 30, passed away in a car crash on i20 west near Heflin,AL at 7:38am Sunday 27th Nov 2022. His wife Gowri, 24, survived the crash and is undergoing multiple surgeries at UAB, Birmingham, AL.

Newly wed couple were returning home from Florida vacation during thanksgiving weekend. Everything was going good for them until tragedy struck and changed it all in a few seconds.

We are absolutely devastated by the news and are struggling to come to terms with the shock of losing Sudeep at such a young age. He was a loving son, a wonderful husband, brother, and friend. He was loved by many, and known among family and friends for his passion and willingness to help others in need. He organized numerous fund raisers for many noble causes. Standing 6.1 feet tall, he was a like a mountain of support in every way possible for those in need of help. Always smiling and bringing joy wherever he was present.

Their first marriage anniversary and his birthday were right around the corner and he is no more for planned celebrations.

Parents, younger sister, family and friends are all shocked and are mourning over the loss and fate of Gowri. Losing her beloved husband, she is also losing her purpose in life and will to fight for life. Need your support, prayers and help in any form to bring her back on her feet. She is on h4 visa and unemployed.

As you can imagine, his sudden demise has left an irreplaceable void in his family. In addition to the inexplicable pain and distress such a situation tends to cause, it also brings a heavy financial burden on the surviving members of the family.

Please support us in trying to raise funds to help Gowri meet immediate expenses for transporting Sudeep body to India and making funeral arrangements. In addition, there’s a need to help supplement the family’s day to day expenses, and support Gowri.

Although life will never be the same for Sudeep family in his absence, we hope that this GoFundMe will help reduce some of the financial distress that they are likely to face while trying to adjust to a life without Sudeep.
