Hi, my name is Allison and I am fundraising for my mom’s funeral. My mother, Kathy Gourd, passed away on August 26, 2021. Kathy Gourd left behind her husband and three children all of who loved her very much. My mom had the kindest soul and always had a smile on her face. She was the type of person to always want people to feel included and would always lend a helping hand to others in need. Anyone who has met my mom would tell you that she made everyone feel good about themselves. She was always giving compliments and asking people about their life, she was interested in everything and anything people were saying to her. My family never got to say goodbye or a see you later to my mom before she was intubated, we never got to say the things we wanted to say. So with this fundraiser, we want to have a proper goodbye and send off for my mom and help with the funeral expenses so that we can say goodbye peacefully. You will be missed by so many mom. I love you. 

There was this one book my mom would read to my siblings and It is called “ love you forever” it is about a mom having a baby and watches her child grow up to become a man. Growing up she would tell her son while she is rocking him in her arms  “ I’ll love you forever, I like you for always, as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be” the son eventually grows up and the mother gets old and eventually dies. The son then picks up his mother and says” I’ll love you forever, I like you for always as long as I’m living my mommy you’ll be” 

Just like what the quote says mom, “as long as I’m living, my mommy you’ll be” no goodbyes but a see you soon mom I love you 

Now with her unexpected passing, my family wishes to give my mom a proper farewell. Thus we set up this page to gather funds to cover her funeral expenses. If you could donate or share with others we would deeply appreciate it.

Hola, mi nombre es Allison y estoy recaudando fondos para el funeral de mi madre. Mi madre, Kathy Gourd, falleció debido a COVID el 26 de agosto de 2021. Kathy Gourd dejó atrás a su esposo y tres hijos, quienes la amaban mucho. Mi mamá tenía el alma más amable y siempre tenía una sonrisa en su rostro. Ella era el tipo de persona que siempre quería que la gente se sintiera incluida y siempre echaba una mano a los necesitados. Cualquiera que haya conocido a mi mamá te diría que ella hizo que todos se sintieran bien consigo mismos. Ella siempre estaba dando cumplidos y preguntando a la gente sobre su vida, estaba interesada en todo lo que la gente le decía. Mi familia nunca llegó a decirle adiós ni a verte más tarde a mi mamá antes de que la intubaron, nunca pudimos decir las cosas que queríamos decir. Entonces, con esta recaudación de fondos, queremos tener un adiós adecuado y enviar a buscar a mi mamá y ayudar con los gastos del funeral para que podamos despedirnos en paz. Tantas mamás te extrañarán. Te amo.

Había un libro que mi mamá les leería a mis hermanos y se llama “te amaré por siempre”, se trata de una mamá que tiene un bebé y ve a su hijo agruparse para convertirse en un hombre. Mientras crecía, le decía a su hijo mientras lo mecía en sus brazos: "Te amaré por siempre, me gustas para siempre, mientras viva como mi bebé, serás", el hijo eventualmente crece y el la madre envejece y finalmente muere. El hijo luego toma a su madre y le dice: "Te amaré por siempre, me gustas por siempre mientras viva mi mamá, tú lo serás".

Al igual que lo que dice la cita mamá, "mientras yo viva, mi mamá, tú lo serás" ninguna despedida, sino un hasta pronto mamá, te amo

Ahora, con su inesperado fallecimiento, mi familia desea despedir a mi mamá como es debido. Por lo tanto, configuramos esta página para reunir fondos para cubrir los gastos de su funeral. Si pudiera donar o compartir con otros, se lo agradeceríamos profundamente.
