Help Diana and Her Family Escape from Gaza

Hi everyone, my name is Mahiya and I am supporting my dear friend Diana and her family escape from genocide.

Hi, my name is Diana and I'm from Gaza, Palestine.

In the war-torn lands of northern Gaza, where the echoes of conflict lingered like ghosts in the rubble, my family once had a modest and stable life.

But everything changed one fateful day when air strikes rocked our neighbourhood. In the chaos and smoke, we fled with nothing but the clothes we were wearing. Our house has turned into a pile of twisted metal and memories. Then we were displaced to the south of the Gaza strip, and the journey of searching for shelter began for the whole family.

We found ourselves among the ranks of the homeless, relying on overcrowded shelters and makeshift tents for shelter. The tent, though a poor substitute for our former dwelling, provided a fragile shield against the elements. Yet it offered no solace against the biting cold of the night or the searing heat of the day.

Necessities became luxuries.

Our livelihoods vanished overnight. We struggled to find work in unfamiliar surroundings. Everyone had lost their jobs. 

We started sinking into a bitter reality. “Without work, we have no income, no means to provide for the family.” The challenges mounted with each passing day. The access to have clean water and sanitation became a daily struggle. We have difficulty finding water and using the bathroom is a challenge we face every day. 

We try to stay strong for our children, we pray for peace, for a chance to rebuild our lives.

My family consists of 12 members. None of us currently have any work. We have many children. I have 5 sisters whose university education was stopped due to the war, and they are now without education. Many of us have been diagnosed with hepatitis due to the use of contaminated water, as we cannot afford bottled or mineral water so often we must use seawater. 

Now, I am here to ask for your help to sustain myself and my family. As I mentioned, we have no source of income. Please assist us to provide life essentials and to help us leave Gaza to rebuild our lives. We want to rebuild our lives in a peaceful place that suits both our parents and children. 

Please remember, any donation, no matter how small or great, will make a huge difference to me for my family's survival. 

After 9 months of war in Gaza, we can’t see any hope to stay in it because of the huge damage of infrastructure, streets, schools and homes. We don’t have any hopes to stay here after the war, as we are looking for a better future especially for the my beloved ❤️ kids and my parents because they are old and need medicine and special treatment. These days, we don’t have any income and the inflation in Gaza is over 600%, the flat rent is over 2000€ and the prices of all essential goods are really high. 

We hope that you will help us to survive here until they open the border crossing of Rafah again. The evacuation from Gaza to Egypt for each one in the family will cost $5,000USD. Every dollar counts, and together, we can secure a better future for our family. Please, help us evacuate from Gaza to a safe place.

Winter is approaching, and we need winter clothing, blankets and tarps. As scarcity grows, so do prices. A jacket costs $50 USD and a tarp costs $250 USD. There is not enough food, clothing, tents, medicine and other necessities being allowed into the Gaza strip, with approximately 90% of the population displaced. What is allowed in is not distributed by NGO's, as it's sold at high prices by merchants. So we need money to buy what we need to survive.

We have had no access to aid in Gaza. We have been displaced multiple times, and often had to leave so quickly, we had to leave everything we owned behind.

So we are relying on you to support our campaign to survive. Please do not ignore.
