My name is Stephen Johnson. I was born and raised in Clarendon, Jamaica, and I now live in Jamaica Queens, New York United States. I am creating this fund personally l, not on behalf of any organization, as an individual Jamaican trying to help home.

I am raising funds for families in Clarendon and the surrounding parishes who were affected by Hurricane Melissa. These are people I know personally, some are my own relatives, and others are neighbors and long-time community members from the area I grew up in.

How the funds will be handled:

All funds collected will be sent directly to my immediate family in Clarendon, My mom who is currently on the ground wirj other family members. They will purchase the supplies in Jamaica and distribute them directly to the households in need.

What the funds will specifically purchase:

• non-perishable food items

• clean bottled water

• toiletries + hygiene supplies

• tarps, roofing materials, nails and sheeting for roof repairs

• basic medications and first aid items

I will post updates on this GoFundMe showing receipts, photos of supplies purchased, and distribution updates, so donors can see how the funds are used.

This storm has pushed many families into immediate hardship. Anything you donate, even a small amount, will go directly toward real households trying to recover.
