I’m trying to raise some funds to make some memorable and special memories with my beautiful Mammy Sandra.

Mammy’s cancer journey started in 2022. Mam had a nine pound tumour removed that was non cancerous. After still not feeling well Mam went back to the hospital to have investigative surgery . During this surgery she had two foot of her bowel removed and nearly died on the table. She spent a week in the ICU. They were able to remove the cancer and Mam had chemotherapy. All was well for two years until a scan showed a mass in her ovaries. Doctors weren't sure if this was cancer. Mam made the brave decision to have a full hysterectomy and lucky she did as the mass was cancerous. More chemotherapy and she was back on the mend.

After routine scans last September 2025 another mass, this time on Mams liver. We were absolutely devastated. Mam always stubborn and not wanting to give up decided to have the liver surgery. Unfortunately this surgery wasn’t as successful as we hoped. There was more cancer outside the liver and her doctor couldn’t remove it. Now we are longer at a curative stage and just praying and hoping for more time. Doctors want to start immediate chemotherapy and target treatments to prolong her life.

Mammy has 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Any money raised from this will go towards making memories and fulfilling any wishes Mam has. She has always wanted to go to Rome and I would love to get her there while she’s still well enough. Funds will also be used to bring Mam to all her treatments and scans that she may have.
