We are the Mellinkoff’s, we hate asking for help so writing this feels foreign. We recently noticed that our little kitty cat Billy was limping and acting out of character. We took him in for a routine exam to determine the cause and found out that he was dealing with life threatening bladder stones. His urethra had been blocked for weeks and was unable to urinate, which would soon cause him to die. We couldn’t imagine the pain and discomfort he was feeling. With a baby on the way and the expenses we are facing, we immediately thought we had no choice but to put him down. The thought of that was gut wrenching we both decided we are going to do anything and everything we can, to save him. Last night (12/30), Billy went into an emergency surgery, where they catheterize him to remove the initial blockage/pressure, then put him under, to cut open his bladder and clear out the remaining stones. Billy is now out of surgery and will remained hospitalized so he can be monitored. Again this is very difficult for us and we really appreciate your support.
Love,
The Mellinkoff’s
