Thank you for taking time to click on our fundraiser for my father, Barry Meeks.

If you know my dad, then you know that he is always one to crack a joke, help anyone in need, and he serves as the rock and support for our entire family, his grandchildren, neices/nephews, sisters, co-workers, friends, community, and anyone that needs his help. He is ALWAYS giving of himself and makes sure that everyone else is taken care of, but now he needs your help.

In September of 2022, my dad was diagnosed with diverticultitis (that caused him alot of pain as well as an abcess in his colon) and prostate cancer. In the past year, he has had several colon surgeries (reaching his health insurance limit)... unable to work he has used all of his savings to make sure that our family stays afloat. While he had colon surgeries, his prostate removal was put on hold and now, the CANCER has SPREAD.

My dad has began hormone therapy to slow the spread of the cancer in his prostate. He is supposed to begin Radiation next month. Instead of being focused on resting and preparing for radiation, my dad is focused on returning to work to be able to afford his treatment and having enough funds to help support our family. My dad has already spent his savings so that we are able to survive. And he has thousands of dollars worth of medical bills due right now.

My dad is not one to ask for help. I know that he needs it right now.

With all of the steps he has to take to battle this, our family is looking to offset his stresses as much as we can. If you are able to donate anything to help with his medical and personal expenses, we truly appreciate it. ANY amount helps.
