Sue's Medical Fund for Brain Tumor
Donation protected
My second mother is battling a brain tumor. This awful diagnosis they gave her is called "Glioblastoma multiforme." I am crying as I type this, because it doesn't seem real. Just last week she was fine. Now she has trouble speaking and her health is rapidly declining. She is a widow, and doesn't have health insurance, but has ridiculously expensive, mounting health care costs.
I wish I could say that Sue is just my best friend's mother, but she has truly been my second mom. Since I was a baby, she acted as the second parent support to my mother who was a single mom of three and raised us on an island far away from her family. Sue was always there. When my own mother was hospitalized for months, nearly on her death bed, Sue took us in and cared for us. Every birthday, every holiday, during hurricanes, when my mom needed her, Sue was there. I can never repay her for her years of support, but now more than ever she needs us.
Her daughter Maggie (that's us in the picture above) was my first friend in life. Before we could even speak, we were best buds. Her mother is her rock, her world, and her support system. I want to help make this time for Maggie easier by putting all my effort into raising money for OUR mom.
Every single dollar helps. I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping, even if it is just spreading the word.
