Help for Harry’s Heart❤️

I am running the St Albans Half Marathon on the 9th June 2024 to raise money in support of my cousin Harry and to support him and his family.

On Tuesday 30th Jan 2024, Harry’s life was to change forever.

Harry had a blood clot in his heart which caused a massive heart attack, leaving him in intensive care and on life support for a few weeks. The heart attack has resulted in massive heart damage/heart failure.  

He had surgery where they fitted a CRT-D (a pump that helps the damaged heart to pump the blood through the heart) and an ICD (a defibrillator which shocks the heart to start beating if it stops).

Sadly, this has not been successful and he has been told that there is nothing more that they can do for him. Harry has now been referred to Harefield Hospital to see what they can do.
