I am a commercial boat skipper living and working in Cornwall uk.
I have been an animal rights activist and campaigner for decades, but since taking to the seas in 1995 have developed a keen interest in marine conservation.
I started campaining against marine mammal parks in 2009 and soon became aware after watching the film 'The Cove' and following The Dolphin Project that this sick headed exploitation can only be stopped with persuasion from both ends of the business by reducing the public demand fuelling the supply of wild caught cetaceans, and by raising awareness and objections from citzens within the countries that permit the practice of this cruel exploitation.
I have recently experienced first hand feedback from Ric O'Barry's Dolphin Project cove monitors serving in Taiji, Japan, and am full of admiration of their heroic efforts and endurance to be able to bear witness and show the world what is going on in Taiji, in the Wakayama Prefecture of Japan.
I now feel totally compelled to join their ranks and stand up to serve a cause that I support whole heartedly.
My trip is planned for next month so your help will be much appreciated.
