Good Evening Everyone,

My name is Scott Brown and I'm 28 years old and im a writer, life has thrown some interesting obstacles my way as I have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy to put it in a nutshell as ive aged my muscles have progressively weakened that im now physically reliant on others to live my life, i use an electric wheelchair to get around and a ventilator to breathe.

Words have always inspired me to be a creative individual and have led me on the path of sharing my story with others. In order to type and bring my words to the world I rely on my right hand, specifically my index finger and thumb to share these thoughts.

The biggest part of my struggle is that it's very time consuming to physically write each individual letter and my fingers get incredibly tired. Most people have the luxury of being able to jot down a creative thought when it comes to their mind, but for me I don't have that luxury. I must keep the thought in my head until I can get on my computer and write it out.I have lots of amazing ideas but unfortunately many of them get lost in translation because I'm unable to write them down the moment I'm inspired.

There is a solution to this problem, and it's called eye gazing software. It would allow me the ability to write on the go but not with my hands with my eye balls. It has a bracket that attaches to wheelchair making it so I can write everywhere. This would provide me the freedom of being a writer and truly experiencing unrestricted creativity, something Ive never had before. We live in a time when technology is making leaps and bounds and can truly transform my life and allow me to share more of my stories with the world.
