Hey everyone this is Cameron Walker and I’m fundraising for my son Christopher Walker. Chris had a moto accident on Saturday night and by the grace of God he is doing ok! He was heading to our shop from Land Park around 2200 through the neighborhood when he was approached by an on oncoming vehicle, he and the other vehicle gave way to allow their passing however unbeknownst to Chris a homeowner had a gravel pile delivered on the city street that reached 18’ from the curb! Chris had nowhere to go and hit the pile of 3/4crush gravel as a result. He was launched into the air and landed 35’ into the oncoming lane. He suffered many injuries including a broken thumb that requires surgery. Besides the fact that one is required to obtain a permit from the city to have anything on a city street, there was no cones, tape, or anything to prevent someone from hitting this obstacle.
I am reaching out because I have experienced two broken hands, wrists, and arms simultaneously and know how difficult the recovery can be. I did not take the time to heal myself correctly and completely because I had to continue to work, that being said I know Chris will try and do the same thing. I would
like to take some of the burden off of him for the 8 week recovery to focus on healing. His work like mine requires his hands so I’m advocating for him once in his life not to use them!! Chris’s passion for playing music especially guitar is something very important to him and I want those hands to always be able to do that…
The medical, time lost from projects, and his destroyed moto has added up.. Anything helps and I will donate one of my signed moto paintings “Tread” for any donation $100 or more.
Thanks for taking time to read this,
Cam Walker
