In Loving Memory of Justin “Gordy” Martin
Hello, my name is Mari, Justin’s cousin. With permission and on behalf of my uncle and aunt, I’m starting this GoFundMe to help raise funds for my cousin’s funeral expenses.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Justin. He was more than just family—he was a bright light in our lives. Kind, sweet, loving, and deeply affectionate, Justin brought warmth and joy to everyone who knew him.
Justin had so much love for his parents and siblings. His bond with his family was something truly special—he was the kind of son and brother who always made time for a hug and a helping hand. He looked up to his parents with love and respect, and cherished every moment spent with his brothers and sister.
He had a passion for baseball, his pets, and the open road. Justin absolutely loved motorcycles—the freedom, the adventure, and the peace he found while riding. It was one of the many things that made him feel alive and connected to the world around him. He is deeply loved by his family and friends, and his absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled.
On the evening of June 11th, around 8:30 PM, Justin was riding his motorcycle, and on his way home for dinner when he was tragically hit by a drunk driver at the intersection of Elm Street and Saviers Road in Oxnard. Justin was gracefully accompanied by a Pastor and fellow church members of the Church of the Nazarene who were peacefully praying for him through the incident. We want to emphasize that Justin was not speeding and had the right of way.
As we prepare to honor his life and say goodbye, we are asking for support to help cover the funeral costs and arrangements.
Any contribution, no matter the size, means so much to us during this incredibly difficult time. If you are unable to contribute financially, your thoughts and prayers are still deeply valued and sincerely appreciated by our family.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of Justin’s life—your love, memories, and support are deeply appreciated. And thank you in advance for any donations to help us lay him to rest with the dignity and love he deserves.
With gratitude,
The Prado Family
