Hello! We are Aziza Afzal, Emma Bergman, Sophie Cameron, Meg Lebow, and Clare Lefebure - five Lumina Studio Theatre alums who are self-producing, self-directing, and performing in an experimental production of Caryl Churchill's The Skriker.
For a sense of the show and the insanity of it, here is the first line of the opening monologue:
"Heard her boast beast a roast beef eater, daughter could spin span spick and spun the lowest form of wheat straw into gold, raw into roar, golden lion and lyonesse under the sea, dungeonesse under the castle for bad mad sad adders and takers away."
We are passionate and committed to making this happen, but we would love your help! Expenses include the performance space, set, costumes, rights to the play, and marketing. Rehearsals will take place this summer with three performances in mid-December. We are grateful for any amount you can give.
