Volunteer Trip Kuujjuaq-Mexico City
Donation protected
Hello everyone! We are a group of young Inuit from Kuujjuaq, a small village in the Canadian far North. Our community faces many problems such as poverty, violence, addiction, and a high drop-out rate. We want to make a difference in our community and for that, we need your help. Our project is to take part in a volunteering workshop with an organisation called TEAM. We want to learn the basics of volunteering and live an experience abroad while helping people in Mexico City. The main goal would be to bring back our knowledge and start a permanent volunteering exchange program in Kuujjuaq, which would help youth here and the youth in the province of Quebec.
The 10 day long workshop would take place in Mexico City and Queretaro, where we will meet and share with other native people. We will be helping in orphanages, daycare centers, day centers for homeless teenagers, soup kitchens, communal green houses and more.
We have been working very hard to raise the money, but we still need your help. Every dollar counts and brings us closer to our goal.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, NAKURMIIMARIALUK!
Sarah, Karina, Daviden, Sky, Amber, Tuamisie, Jessica, Patricia, Nyomi, Arnaara, Jessie and Marianne.
