Nathaniel Iron Shell was in a bad motorcycle accident on April 27th and ended up in surgical ICU with a severe brain injury . He is the father & step father of 6 beautiful children. We are praying he wakes up soon and can start on his long road to recovery and healing. As of right now we don’t know how long it will take it’s just a waiting game for him to wake up and see what he knows or remembers .
He was an amazing stay at home father to our 7 month old before this happened so I am having to take time off of work to be there for him , care for him and our 7 month old baby because he was the main caretaker of baby so we didn’t have to put baby in daycare . Anything helps as he doesn’t have any medical insurance so we will have a lot of medical bills plus our monthly house bills, diapers, formula, gas & now daycare etc. YOU ALL ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED! He has had an amazing group of nurses and doctors that are working around the clock to make sure he is comfortable ❤️

Update: May 5th, 2025
First of all, Thank You All for your continued thoughts and Prayers for Son Nathaniel IronShell, truly grateful beyond words for you all. Please continue to pray for him and the family, Wopila Tanka.
He is still fighting for his life and will continue to do so. His vitals are stable and he is breathing on his own for the most part. They will work on removing the ventilator possibly in the next few days. He has not woke up yet but there is no rush, his brain injury needs to heal. Our prayers for the ICU team continue, Drs, Nurses, respiratory each and every one of them. I refuse to think or feel anything but optimism and believe he will come through this. He has a lot of life to live and will. Again, thank you all and please keep praying for this young warrior
Update May 16th ❤️
Nate has been slightly awake through the last couple days, his eyes are open and he's responding, although minimal, he is responding. He knows who we are and yes there is a lot of confusion but he's there. He is moving his left arm and hand more and more. He actually was even able to take some ice chips, so he is getting there. Again we know this is a marathon and he will be strong enough to endure.
His care team here has been amazing! They all have helped so much and it is appreciated beyond words.
We ask for continued prayers for his long road of recovery and appreciate every single one of you that has kept him in your prayers ❤️
