In 2009, Mary Collins co-founded the  "Boxer Buddies" at Brockton High School. This organization pairs students with disabilities with typically developing peers to engage in social and civic activities. Mary also co-coached Brockton High's first Unified team in the Special Olympics taking the Boxer Buddies all the way to the state championships. Her passion for this program has influenced the lives of over 500 students in its six years.

Mary's family has shared their wishes that donations be made in her memory to the Boxer Buddies so that her legacy continue.
