Hello,
I would like to take a minute and introduce ourselves, we are Dax & Payton and this is our Dad, David Clark. He is a 48 year old former Marine who has recently been diagnosed with colon cancer.
About 4 weeks ago, our Dad started noticing some digestive issues. He thought it was something he could home remedy but it continued to worsen. After a night of sweats, stomach cramps and vomiting, he agreed to go to the emergency room. Once admitted, they ran blood tests and ordered a CT scan. There they found a tumor was completely blocking his colon. He underwent surgery and had the section, where the tumor was located, removed and colon reattached. The doctors said if his recovery went well, he would be in the hospital an additional 5 -7 days. Unfortunately, that did not go as we hoped. He had a setback with fever, sweats and vomiting that last 2 days. He is now on day 13 of his hospital stay.
Thanksgiving Day was one of our worst days to experience. On Thanksgiving, we found out that our Dad had colon cancer and that it had spread to his lymph nodes. We were informed once he has recovered from this surgery, he can begin his cancer treatment of chemo and radiation. At this time, he is looking at 6 to 12 months of treatment. The last day or two he does appear to be improving and regaining some strength but no release date has been provided.
Our Dad does not like to ask for help but will be the first person to help out a stranger, friend and family. As he is self employed, his income had been greatly affected. So we post here and humbly ask if you can assist with any amount of donation to help with current medical cost and his future medical treatment as he has just begin this long journey.
We ask for prayers for his recovery and help us by sharing his story and share this page.
Thank you for taking the time to read, for your support and continued prayers!
