Hello everyone, my name is Kristin Duran, I am Julie’s stepdaughter. I wanted to share some unfortunate but hopeful news that has fallen into our path.

On September 14, we received news that Julie had stage 3 aggressive breast cancer. It was such a difficult thing for our family to believe, she is a beautiful light in our lives. Julie has always had a special place deep in my heart, and has definitely been a great mother figure in our life. For those of you who don’t know Julie, she is a very caring and loving person and is the mother to my younger brother David, who is her entire world. As you can imagine, the weight of this is unbearable, but at the face of adversity, Julie has shown incredible strength and resilience.

Julie has so far gone through 6 treatments of chemotherapy once every 3 weeks. Julie has also undergone surgery and will be starting radiation for the next 6-7 weeks. She will be having at least 30-35 treatments done and will require infusion once every 3 weeks for an entire year.

Any donation amount will help our family support my mom in this unimaginable time. Succoring some of the financial stress will allow my mom the ability to focus on recovery. From the bottom of our hearts thank you so much for your help.
