A World Without A Father

On Thanksgiving night, November 24, 2022 – our dearest brother, whom we lovingly call Junior – aka Manny, was killed unexpectedly in a tragic car accident. He was a son, a brother, a friend, a cousin, but the title he held nearest to his heart was that of a father. Christian Immanuel's birth brought hope and dreams for my brother. Colors were brighter, the air more vibrant, life more worth living, and goals worth striving for. He wanted to give his baby boy the world. He did this through words, actions, and his ability to always be by Christian's side, through the good and the bad times.

Although Chris cannot be carried and put across our shoulders and laps, he still needs us to guide him, inspire him, and hold him up during this unimaginable time. He is no longer a baby but a 21-year-old beautiful and resilient young man that will always need his father, but now he must learn to navigate the world without him.

Our time here is not guaranteed, but what is guaranteed is the love we bring into each other’s lives and the ripple effect it can have on tomorrow. The memories we create and the legacies we leave behind must endure beyond us. This request was born from the outpouring of love shown to our family since my brother's passing. In complete darkness, your prayers and love have been our light. We hope that Christian feels the warmth of your enlightenment as he continues to walk on the path to building his future. Please help us ensure that my brother's legacy, Christian, is illuminated with the same hope his father felt for his future when he was born.
