Robin & Joey

This is Robin and Joey Gunter, my parents. On Thursday January 4th, they were in a serious car accident. My dad has suffered a broken thumb that will require surgery at a later date. My mom has five broken ribs and two broken vertebrae and will be going into surgery on Saturday January 6th. If ever there were two people more deserving of help at this time, I do not know who they could possibly be. My parents, throughout my entire life, have given of themselves to others.  They have opened their home, have given their time, their ears, their shoulders, their money, their devotion, and their love to many over the years. They have always given freely, even when they had very little to give. They care for my small child so that I may work full time, they care for my brother's child in the after school hours so that he can work, all the while trying to take care of themselves and my teenaged sister. This tragic event has left us all shaken, but relieved that we all still have each other. Through it all, their faith and resilience of spirit is amazing to see. They are strong, and will heal and move forward, but they find themselves, at this time, with very little.
