As many of you know, Noah was born on September 2,2018 at 35 weeks. Diagnosed with Trisomy 21 and 19 weeks pregnant he weighed only 4lbs 14oz at birth. 2 days before giving birth I had a cardiologist appointment who diagnosed Noah with ASD & VSD congenital heart defects. The ASD was not that big but large enough for a patch but the VSD was way bigger than expected. After he was born they confirmed the diagnosis and he was in the NICU immediately. His heart defects caused issues with his breathing which in turn caused him to be unable to eat by mouth. At 1 month old Noah had open heart surgery to repair both holes in his heart. He did extremely well and healed really well from it making it completely off of oxygen and working on bottle feeding. However, shortly after he caught a cold which set him ALL the way back to square 1 back on CPAP and not eating at all. It’s been about 2 weeks since his cold and he is now on regular nasal cannula oxygen instead of CPAP or high flow and still not eating but will be working on it soon. He is in Texas Children’s Hospital in the Cardiac ICU. We ask for help to cover Noah’s medical bills and any medicine or equipment he may need in the future!
