Help Save Our Mom

My name is Lyndsie, and I am starting a gofundme account for my mother, Shawna Snyder.  Shawna has five daughters, aged 10, 13, 16, 21, and 26. Growing up, I have watched my mother run a daycare for over 20 years. I have watched her love and support our family and my sisters.  She is a role model to me and a hero.  I witnessed my mother’s character and compassion everyday as she cared for the children in her daycare.  My mother never considered her daycare a business, but a calling to help families and provide a loving environment for parents who had to work.   My mother would always help that single parent with odd hours, that abused mother who needed extra help, or that child no one else would take or handle.  She gave unconditional love and support to many and believed in people when others wouldn’t.

 
On January 9, 2018, our family’s  life turned completely upside down, and my mother closed her daycare.   Shawna Snyder was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme brain cancer. This is a very aggressive cancer that statistically takes it victim within the year.  My mother has beaten the odds so far. My family is humbly asking for financial help so she can continue to fight and defy all odds. I am making my mother my  miracle for the year. I ask that you do, too. Please believe in her like she has believed in so many.

She is currently receiving cancer treatment approximately 3 hours away. All funds will be used to pay for medical bills, travel expenses, and supplements.
