My name is Richard and I am asking for your help to reach new heights at the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro, departing the US on 02 November 2025. That’s right its clean Dick on the rise! But here is part of my story and how I got here. I enlisted in the Air Force at the tender age of 19 and began to experience life around the world. I have seen the sands of Turkey, and the mountains of Japan. I have loved and been loved, had some kids, made some memories, and many more friends. I’ve complained about workouts and embraced the suck of multiple deployments. After serving in the Air Force for twenty years, I began to look for new opportunities to connect with my community and return to the sense of Comradery that only those who have worn the uniform can understand. With the help of my lovely wife Jo, I have accomplished so much but still miss the guys, even after retiring 7 years ago. Some things just stay with you. Team RWB fills this gap in my social structure, and helps me stay mentally and physically fit. Through Team RWB I have experienced great things from running across states to climbing around stadiums. Now I have another opportunity to challenge myself and promote the wellbeing of my fellow veterans. I will be hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and we are aiming to summit at daybreak on Veteran's Day November of 2025! What an opportunity to push myself and experience the majesty of Africa!
