Ana Haney was a community member in Huntington Park. A single mother and grandmother of 2 lovely children. She was a volunteer for over 20 years in all kinds of school related activities at Middleton Elementary and Huntington Park High School.
Before falling ill with Leukemia, Ana had been working as the Outreach Associate at Communities for a Better Environment. Ana was also a key community member that fought against the construction of a 943 megawatt fossil fuel powerplant near her home in Huntington Park and was a fierce activist for environmental justice in Southeast LA.
Ana recently received chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant with no success and Doctors instructed her to go home where she passed away in the presence of her family.
Her friends, family and colleagues are coming together to contribute to her funeral fund. We kindly ask for donations to help with her funeral expenses. We ask that you consider donating from your heart.
