On October 29th, our daughter Hope started feeling ill. We took her to the doctor thinking she had a virus. After numerous appointments, labs, and medical imaging being done nothing could be found that was causing her to be so ill. On November 18, she went to Vanderbilt Monroe Caroll Children’s Hospital. We had hoped to obtain answers and solution to help her feel better, she declined while hospitalized there. She became unsteady and started falling when walking and developed body tremors after being given compazine for nausea. She was discharged with us being told she was getting better, despite the fact that she could no longer walk independently and still wasn’t keeping anything down. She came home and we took her to Norton Children’s Hospital. There GI was able to diagnose her with gastroparesis. She has upcoming appointments ( most will be in Louisville- about a 3 hour drive from home) and needs someone with her at all times due to medical needs and being high fall risk as well as homeschooling.
Any help is appreciated to help with getting her to medical appointments, therapy, or things she may need.
