Hi everyone!

My dear friend and colleague Marissa Lyons, one of the kindest souls you’ll ever meet, needs us to rally around her the way she has always been there for everyone else. Many of you know her as a devoted RN on 7WT at Sarasota Memorial for the past four years, but to all of us she is so much more—she is the kind of person who shows up for everyone else, who gives selflessly, who lifts others up without hesitation. Now it’s our turn to show up for her. Marissa is facing an aggressive recurrence of cervical cancer with regional metastasis. She is enduring six rounds of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, followed by an extensive, life-altering surgery, pelvic exenteration, that will keep her out of work for at least six months. This journey is not only physically and emotionally draining, but also places a huge financial burden on her and her family.
