First and foremost, we would like to thank the healthcare and essential workers who are risking their lives for the safety of our family, friends, and community.
The Situation:
With the global COVID-19 pandemic, the impact on our beloved city of San Francisco has been dramatic. As COVID-19 continues to spread in San Francisco, the risk for the homeless contracting COVID-19 is dangerously increasing.
Our Purpose:
The World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that people thoroughly wash their hands with soap and water as a preventative measure against COVID-19. However, soap is not readily available for the homeless during these times, and it is our goal to change that. There are around 8,000 homeless in the city of San Francisco alone, and it is our mission to raise funds to buy soap for the homeless. We strive to donate the soap to various homeless shelters throughout San Francisco to help keep everyone safe and healthy.
We are two San Francisco high school juniors who believe that small contributions can have tremendous impacts, and we hope that you can help us help others. We understand that these are very difficult times, but we greatly appreciate your support.
