Some of you may or may not know, but my dad was recently admitted to the hospital due to an issue with his leg. Although the biopsy has not come back yet, the doctors think there's a strong possibility that he may have bone cancer. Also, while in the hospital, they found a mass in his lung which is causing pressure on his heart and making it difficult for him to do daily life functions like working, or really any sort of physical activity. They're also waiting on a biopsy for the mass in his lung to come back.
Thankfully, he was able to go home 4 days later. As a 4-day hospital stay, MRIs, and CT scans are ridiculously expensive, he unfortunately has no health insurance so will be expecting a hefty hospital bill. Along with a hefty hospital bill comes the cost of his prescriptions for the inhalers he's been prescribed, and the at-home oxygen that he needs but wasn't able to receive due to the cost and having no insurance.
My dad will not be cleared to go back to work and doesn't see his doctor until next week so that he can hopefully apply for disability and be able to at least pay his monthly bills. We have applied for Medicaid but just as much as I know, you know how long that could take to be accepted or denied.
I know life is expensive right now, and there are a lot of people struggling. We're not expecting a miracle but anything will help. Thank you to everyone in advance!
