Jason’s Top Surgery
Hello everyone, my name is Jason.
A little about me first: I’m 27, have been married just shy of 3 years, and have four beautiful cats. I work in the IT field and my favorite thing ever is coffee.
Now that the ice breaker is over, on to why you’re here
My journey began when I was in high school. I had no idea what being transgender even was at that point. But I knew there was
something going on with me that wasn’t
quite right.
I was a late bloomer, but when I was about 19, I realized fully what the problem was.
I wasn’t a girl.

Simple enough, but that began a long trip physically, mentally, and emotionally.
I got my first binder in 2015, and began HRT in 2016. I had hoped that would be enough for me, because surgery is expensive. But lately, the stress from the dysphoria is causing too much for me to ignore.
(July 6th will mark five years )
Saving up the money to do this is hard, so I’m hoping that maybe I can get some help through here.
My insurance deductible is $1,400, with an additional $1,491 for the procedure. But there will also need to be appointments, bloodwork done, and other tests done over the course of this. (The current rough estimate)
My surgical consult appointment is July 19th. I’m hoping that by then I’ll have saved and raised enough to pay the down payment for the surgery, whatever that may be.
In advance, I thank all of you for your support in helping me with an absolutely gigantic step in my transition. You have no idea how much I appreciate it.
