Hello, my name is Ronnie Huerta. I was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer on March 18th, 2023. At that time, I had to make the decision to stop working to concentrate on my cancer diagnosis.
After chemo treatments in August 2023, I had an upper right lobectomy along with 7 lymph nodes removed. On Jan. 1st, 2024, I had a mini-stroke in my left temple. I lost my vision for 3 months. Eleven months later, I found out the cancer had spread to my left kidney, and a small section was removed. I have the type of cancer that will always show itself. It started in my lung and has now gone to my brain. Then, in March 2025, I was first diagnosed with brain cancer found on the left occipital lobe. That was inoperable; the first radiation treatment slowed it down. One year to the date, in March 2026, another MRI showed another spot on my cerebellum. Stage 4 cancer fighter.
It is a struggle when you don't have the financial portion that I need to pay for all my radiation and continuous medical care. Those fees are expensive. The CTs/MRIs add up every 3 months. I'm still struggling to pay on the previous ones. I don't have a retirement fund or 401k. This year, it is really a struggle.
Thank you for reading and supporting me in my fight against cancer.
