Mallory’s PICC line TPN treatment

I have had many people asking about ways they can help, or if I would start a go fund me. Most of my time I have just asked for prayers, and strongly feel no matter what God will pull us through this. If you feel inclined to donate, my family and I will appreciate every bit, if not, no worries, prayers and good vibes have been working! Backstory: On March 28, I went in for the gastric sleeve surgery to improve my overall health. At this time I took out a personal medical loan due to having already waiting the 2 years for insurance to approve and then they needed more and was going to me more expensive then if I paid myself. Three weeks after surgery I began to not be able to eat or drink at all and was having pain that I shouldn’t still be having. I tried other measures before finally having to go back the surgeon after toughing it out a total of 3 weeks. 6 weeks post op my surgeon ran test and I had emergency gallbladder removal. This helped the pain and the next day I was feeling a little better. I stayed overnight and came home the following day. My doctor is in Dallas so it’s been 5 hour trips each time. By the weekend I still was not eating or drinking, and the following Monday morning I woke up dizzy, nauseated, and barely able to get out of bed. So we called the doctor back, and he stated I needed to get to an IV place on the way and get hydrated and come in the following day for a PICC line. They said they were considering it the week before but were hopeful that removing the gallbladder had helped. The doctor wanted me on the PICC line for a minimum of 5 weeks to help me get the nutrients I need until my body heals enough for me to eat and drink on my own. The first week was rough and I was still having symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, vision loss, sinus infection, and just overall anxiety of the risks associated. I have been on the PICC line for 3 weeks now, and the insurance even after appeal/ and after explaining the essential need has declined to cover the nutrients I am receiving. I will be taken off today and we will be responsible for 3 weeks worth of TPN, blood draws, medical supplies, and home healthcare. The good news is I am on the mend, and I will try like heck to stay nourished enough to get me through this! We will also likely have to weekly get IV hydration with vitamins etc. Thank you to all of you for all the prayers, support, and any donation will be much appreciated.
