Hello everyone, my name is Katie Iacolucci and I am Austin’s wife.

On 5/31 around 10 pm, Austin was riding south up Thor and Freya when he said he hit a small pot hole and his bike wouldn’t turn for the corner, hit the median, and then flew into an oncoming car in the other lane. Austin got to the hospital where we were told he had broken his right femur, right tibia and fibula, right kneecap, and part of his right scapula. He broke the condyle end of his left femur bone, which migrated behind his left kneecap, and another part of his upper left tib/fib (can’t quite remember that one). He also has a major bruise on his abdomen. I’ve never seen him in so much pain. Austin is currently getting surgery on both of his legs. From what I’ve heard and seen, Life360 does not show him speeding in that area, and his friends said they were not racing.

If you know Austin and have seen him in the store or ridden with him, you know the kind of wonderful man he is. He’s selfless, kind, and goes out of his way to help a friend or a stranger. I’m hoping the riding community will show him some love as we navigate his recovery. I am starting this GoFundMe to help with medical expenses. I know he will be out of work for a while and I will be taking work off to help with his care at home. Please keep us in your thoughts.
