New Balance Nationals in New York

David Emuze is a senior at Southeast High School in Springfield, Illinois. He is entering his fourth year as a varsity participant in track and field for the Spartans. After he graduates from Southeast, he is planning to attend The University of Illinois to continue his athletic career. David's career has been very successful up to this point. He has been a city champion, CS8 conference champion, and a sectional champion which has given him the opportunity to earn all-state recognition during the IHSA state championship series.

Prior to his senior season, David participated in the Dorothy Dawson track meet that was held on the campus of the University of Illinois. While there, he was able to clear a height in the high jump that has qualified him for the 2020 New Balance Indoor National High School Championship in New York in March (Deadline to enter is March 9th). Qualifying for this track meet has been a dream and goal of David's since entering high school. 

David is asking for donations to help fund this once in a life time opportunity to participate. He hopes to raise enough money so that he and his coach, Christopher Hood, will be able to attend the meet together. Between transportation, hotels, and other fees that occur during such an event, it is estimated that $2,000 will need to be raised.
