Hello Everyone:
My name is Jessica and I am creating this campaign on behalf of our good friend, Osman. For those of you from Elem3nt that know him personally, you know he has been the heartbeat of our missions trips in Honduras over the years. He has always supplied us with so much support, sought to protect us no matter what, and has always worked along side us to help those in need, even when he often did not have much for his own family. The pictures above are of his family over the years, and  they are so lucky to have him as a father/husband. He truly has a heart of service and is one of the most generous people that I have ever met.

My dear friend Osman is in trouble. He was in a bus accident as a teenager and suffered damage to his leg and arm. For years he has been lancing his leg himself, due to lack of funding for the doctor. This past trip (March 2016) when we were working with him, his leg got progressively worse after years and years of self care. He is now in unbearable pain. The nerve damage to his leg from the accident is severly infected and they are no longer able to lance his leg to clear the infection, as it has become too severe and deep. It is very dangerous and he needs surgery to remove the damaged tissue (nerve) before it gets any worse. He has already been presenting terrible symptoms, as his leg was hot to the touch and he was running a fever and said he was feeling as if he was dying. I have NEVER seen him stop working or turn down a day's work to feed his children....and it scared me when he did decide to sit 2 days out just last week.

I have been trying to investiage the medial background for his needed surgery before posting on here, but I am running out of time to be able to explain all the medical lingo. I just please ask you to have faith and trust in the information that he has been able to proivde over the phone. He is going to check himself into the hospital Monday, no matter what, but really, really needs this surgery by next week. The surgeon can see him Tuesday if the money is able to be raised and sent down to him.

I would not post if this was not an emergency. Please help. Osman is a very hard worker and never asks for a handout, but as I spoke to him on the phone tonight he was in tears. Not only is the surgery cost equal to about 100 days of wages (when there is work everyday), but he will also need to be out of work for at least 3 months, putting his family in a difficult position. The doctor is also projecting, that since he needs to have the infected nerve removed, and any effected tissue, that he will also need physical therapy. It is for this reason that the amount on this account is so high. The surgery will cost around $1,500 USD and any leftover would be much appreciated on his behalf to feed his beautiful children or help with the cost of therapy.
