Jennifer's Mission Trip to South Africa

My name is Jennifer and I am a Mechanical Engineer for the Department of Defense. I have a college education, a job, a car, a supportive family, loving friends, a roof over my head, food to eat (every day), and I want for nothing. I could go on and on with how much God has blessed me, but that is not the point of this.

The point of this is to ask for help so I am able to help others. To help those who want for things every day, a feeling most of us have never felt.

I plan on traveling to South Africa in October for my first mission trip, with hopes of this being the first of many. There are people all over the world who are poor, homeless, hungry, and scared, and my heart has become so soft at wanting to help as many people as God will allow me to.

Although I am wealthy in many facets, traveling to a place so far away is expensive. I plan on paying most of this trip out of pocket, but any financial help is greatly appreciated. I also want to be able to donate as much as possible to those in need while I am in South Africa.

I am terrified to get on that plane for many reasons, but this experience will be completely life-changing for myself and hopefully for others, and I wouldn't be able to do it without your help.

Thank you for supporting me and ultimately helping people who need love the most. God has blessed me with a comfortable life, one which also came with a responsibility to share with others what I have been given. That's what life's all about, right? :)
