Help Us Stand with Pastor Ernie Alvarez
Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,
We come to you today with heavy hearts and unwavering faith.
As some of you may know, Pastor Ernesto "Ernie" Alvarez has been detained at the Krome Detention Center as he awaits the outcome of his immigration case and a possible deportation order. Pastor Ernie is not only a man of faith but a true pillar of our community—a husband, father, grandfather, and devoted son caring for his 90-year-old mother.
For over 30 years, Pastor Ernie has served the Lord with passion and integrity. As Associate Pastor at AO Church, he leads the Men’s Ministry, holding biweekly and monthly gatherings to disciple, uplift, and bring others closer to the heart of God. His life has been a testament to service, sacrifice, and unwavering love for both God and people.
A Battle in the Natural, A Victory in the Spirit
We are currently working with an immigration attorney who believes there is a strong possibility to stay his removal and even restore his path to citizenship. However, the legal process is costly, and we are asking for your help.
This is a David vs. Goliath battle, but we know that God’s promises never return void. We believe in a God who restores, who defends the righteous, and who honors those who serve His Kingdom.
Even in Detention, the Gospel is Moving
Though Pastor Ernie is physically behind bars, the Word of God is not bound. Without access to a Bible in his first days at Krome, Pastor Ernie began to preach from memory, ministering powerfully from the scriptures the Lord has written on his heart. In just three days, 58 men surrendered their lives to Jesus.
Wives at home received calls from their husbands, overwhelmed with the emotional and spiritual transformation taking place. Many began to connect with Pastor Ernie’s wife, who is now ministering to these women—God is moving even in the midst of this storm.
How You Can Help
This is a family who puts the Kingdom of God before their own needs. Today, we ask that you come alongside them—not just in prayer, but in action.
Your donation, no matter the size, will help cover urgent legal fees and support the Alvarez family during this incredibly challenging time. If you are unable to give, please share this campaign on your social media, with your church, and in your community.
Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus—the body of Christ rising to support a faithful servant in his time of need.
