On January 25th Officer Maldonado was suspended for not being perfect while trying to “Manage the Unmanageable”.

As a Medically Monitored Officer she was asked to work a post that houses some of the most problematic inmates on Rikers Island.
Her MM2 designation from HMD clearly states that she “must” have another Officer with her while on post.
Yet, she was on the tiers at the North Infirmary Command with the most dangerous inmates by herself.
