Hello everyone! My name is Savannah and I am a Computer Science and Japanese language student at Northern Illinois University. I have been studying Computer Science since I was about 10 years old and have been studying Japanese for 2 years now.
みんなさん、こんにちは！ 私の名前はサバナ、そして、ノーザンイリノイ大学でコンピューターと日本語の学生です。十年ごろ、コンピューターを勉強しています、そして、二年ごろ日本語を勉強しています。
Although I am still fairly limited in my Japanese speaking, I am currently planning on studying abroad in summer of 2016. However, it is going to be costly and difficult for me to get the money to go. Three years ago, my parents got divorced. Even though my parents and I are trying our hardest, it is obvious that we won’t be able to come up with the money ourselves. That’s why I am turning to friends and family to help raise some of the money that I’ll need. The money that is raised will be used for airfare, food, and the program’s tuition.
２０１６年の夏休みに遊学してつもりです。でも、家族はお金がありませんから、激高です。３年ほど前に両親は離婚しました。私と両親はお金を貯めるでも、助けいます。このお金は航空運賃や食べ物やプログラムの学費を使うつもりです。
The program that I am going for is an 8-week Intensive Japanese Language and Culture program that will be based at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Beppu, a city in the Japanese prefecture of Oita. There are many reasons why I want to do this program, the main one being to speed up the rate at which I am learning the Japanese Language. Aside from learning the language, I also want to be able to experience a culture that is completely different than what I am used to. For me, this isn’t just a language-learning opportunity, it is all of my hard work finally coming to something that will help determine my future.
