This fund is set up to help Stormie and Taylor.
Earlier this year, Stormie suffered a heart failure and subsequent organ failures. After 5 intense hospital visits, the doctors have finally found the root issue and began medication therepy. She has been unable to work throughout all of this, and treatment is ongoing. Taylor, her husband is playing nurse 24/7 in between shifts and only leaves her side to work to help keep food on the table and bills paid as best as possible. The prognosis looks good, but it is going to take months of therepy and visists to several specialists to keep Stormie strong enough to one day be able to walk into the sunshine and enjoy a life outside.
To complicate things further, the long stays in the hospital with little to no movement during the 45+ days on and off have left Stormie with severe atrophy of the legs and feet that prevent her from standing or walking right now. This issue is being addressed through specialists, but it will take time and effort on her part to get back to walking and laughing in the sun again.
Any and all money raised will be used to pay off their out-of-pocket insurance expenses that have not already been addressed, help with medications every month, cover disposables, and supplement the one income they have right now.
Anything and everything will be appreciated to help nurse Stormie back to having as normal a life as possible and ease the burden on the family as weekly expenditures have become increasingly burdensome with doctor's appointments happening at least once a week and new medications being tried. It would mean the world to the two of them if we could help release the stress of medical bills and let them concentrate on rehabilitating Stormie back to the loving, smiling, caring woman she is.
