My life changed forever in January 2013. I was diagnosed with brain cancer. These were some of the scariest words I had ever heard in my life. I certainly could not believe that this was happening to me...again. I had already survived lymphoma as a child, and a thyroid cancer diagnosis. But brain cancer? This was a whole new ball game.
You don't get to step away from brain cancer. It's constant treatment, follow up, and the realization that your life will be this way until the end of your life or until there is a cure.

The hardest parts of brain cancer/surgery:
I don't look sick on the outside but my inside is killing me
Fatigue
Seizures
Chronic pain
Naseau/vomiting
Memory loss
Loss of balance/coordination
Some paralysis
Lost wages and financial hardship

What cancer can't take from me:
My family
My friends
My zest for life
My ability to thrive
My love for helping others
It is my passion of being a mom, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, fiancé, friend and social worker that keeps me fighting strong. My family is everything to me and I fully intend to see my daughters grow up.

I humbly and graciously ask for your consideration. I am very aware that fighting for your life is never easy, and I will continue to help others in their fight. Thank you! Please share my link!
