Ayúdame a Salvar a Mi Perrito

Hola, mi nombre es Mabel y quiero compartir la historia de mi Golden Retriever de 9 años.

Hace dos años mi familia y yo migramos de Ecuador a Estados Unidos. Lamentablemente, por motivos económicos, tuvimos que dejar a nuestro perrito allá. Siempre fue nuestro sueño traerlo con nosotros para cuidarlo y darle una mejor vida a nuestro lado. Hace poco, finalmente lo logramos—aunque no fue fácil. Nos endeudamos con 5 mil dólares para poder traerlo.

Tristemente, al llegar nos enfrentamos a una realidad muy dura:

• Fue diagnosticado con erliquia (fiebre de la garrapata)

• Tiene pielonefritis (una infección grave en el riñón/hígado)

• Y sufre de displasia de cadera, lo que hace imposible que pueda caminar

Lo más difícil es que todas estas enfermedades parecen haberse desarrollado en los últimos meses, cuando aún estaba en Ecuador, lejos de nosotros. Cuando comenzó el proceso de transporte él todavía podía caminar. Pero el día que llegó a Estados Unidos ya no podía hacerlo. Ese mismo día lo llevamos al veterinario y descubrimos toda la gravedad de sus condiciones.

Ya lo hemos llevado a varias consultas y hospitalizaciones, cubriendo los gastos con préstamos, pero las cuentas siguen aumentando. El veterinario sigue pidiendo hospitalizaciones frecuentes y chequeos cada pocos días, y simplemente no tenemos los recursos para afrontar lo que viene.

Nuestra meta es recaudar $7,000 para cubrir sus tratamientos, hospitalizaciones y terapias — con la esperanza de que pueda volver a caminar y disfrutar de la vida amorosa que siempre soñamos darle aquí.

Help Me Save My Dog

Hi, my name is Mabel, and I want to share the story of my 9-year-old Golden Retriever.

Two years ago, my family and I migrated from Ecuador to the United States. Unfortunately, due to financial reasons, we had to leave our dog behind. Our dream was always to bring him with us so we could take care of him and give him a better life by our side. Recently, we finally made it happen—though it was not easy. We went into $5,000 of debt to bring him here.

Sadly, when he arrived, we faced a heartbreaking reality:

• He was diagnosed with Ehrlichia (tick fever)

• He has pyelonephritis (a serious kidney/liver infection)

• And he suffers from hip dysplasia, which makes it impossible for him to walk

What makes it even harder is that all of these illnesses seem to have developed in the last few months while he was still in Ecuador, away from us. When the transport process began, he was still able to walk. But the day he arrived in the United States, he could no longer walk at all. That’s when we rushed him to the veterinarian and discovered the full extent of his conditions.

We have already taken him to the vet and covered several checkups and hospital stays through loans, but the costs keep piling up. The vet continues to request frequent hospitalizations and checkups every couple of days, and we simply don’t have the resources to cover what’s ahead.

Our goal is to raise $7,000 to cover his ongoing treatments, hospitalizations, and therapies—so that he can walk again and enjoy the loving life we dreamed of giving him here.
