In the early morning hours of November 5th Dee Kee was awakened by the sounds of a voice (her neighbor) saying that the house was on fire!! Dee exited the house with no shoes, no contact lenses and no clothes other than her PJ's.
She spent hours shivering in the 30 degree temps watching her garage burn along with every picture,video and memory the family had.
She will never get those back.
Unfortunally, they also lost a great deal more!!
Dee has Kasey and Kassie (her kids) living with her and ALL of Kassies things were stored in the garage. Kassie lost everything!!! Furniture, valuable collectibles, her bycicle and almost all her clothes and coats!! Kasey and Dee lost a great deal as well with everything that couldn't fit in their tiny cottage stored in the garage!!
The fire started in the dryer and quickly overtook the garage but thankfully God spared Dees cottage which is seperate from the garage.
Many of you seeing this know Dee. If you do, you know that she and her family has had more than their share of adversity in the last few years. Things have been really tough!! But through it all Dee has always kept a positive attitude, (and a sense of humor) giving God the glory for all her blessings!!
This fire however is something that she will not be able to recover from without some help!! Although she is so thankful that God kept her, her kids and her dogs safe (along with her cottage) replacing some of these belongings will be impossible without help from her friends!
Dee is an amazing woman. She is the first one to run to the hospital when someone she knows is in trouble. She is the first one to be at the scene of a crisis for anyone she knows!!! Dee gives of herself completly and lays down her life to help people over and over!!! If you know Dee you know this about her!!!
The first thing Dee is asking for is prayer!! She always says that when her facebook friends pray, miracles happen!! So we covet your prayers for Dee, Kassie and Kasey as they wrap their heads around the loss they have experienced and work to recover from this.
But, we also ask that if you possibly can give, what she needs is money. The loss was huge but any amount will move them forward in their recovery. She knows she will not be able to recover all the loss but so appreciates all the help we can give her!!
