Care for Courtney

I am writing about my nearest dearest. The one that lights up the cosmos with a single spark of their presence, and gives tirelessly for others in her divinity and her unwavering grace.

Courtney Alexander is the creator of the Dust II Onyx Tarot deck, the first melanated tarot deck independently published.

Courtney individually created each card by hand, through mixed media collage through an extensive background in fine arts and graphic design.

The deck has reached international recognition and offers a potent and clear message in delivering divinity of ancestral remembrance through the African diasporic mystic traditions.

Courtney needs our community care now. Recently, her struggles with mental health and ability to continue to create have been challenged by the ever-present systems in place, and Courtney has been unable to financially create additional work, as well as been able to find ground in her wellness and care needs.

Those who know the struggle of mental health, know that continuing to "push/grind/force" forward only creates a greater spiral of dis-ease in the body and spirit.

In full transparency, Courtney has reached a point where she is facing severe financial setbacks in her daily costs of living. This has made it extremely challenging to be creative and to spread the joy and love that Courtney so willingly offers.

This Wellness Fund is to provide immediate and necessary financial care for Courtney to not just survive but to begin to thrive in a field of sunflowers.

The goal is to raise funds to help Courtney sustain the next few months while she pivots her business, finds work, and receives the necessary monetary resources for housing, medical, and spiritual wellness.

Her needs are immediate as the year comes to an end. These costs will help cover the following for Courtney's immediate and long-term wellness support:
