Funeral and Medical Expenses for Marty Samudio
On behalf of the Samudio Family and the care of Holy Cross '79ers, the '79ers are reaching out to all family, friends, and Holy Cross Knights, current and alumni, because we have learned of the recent homegoing of OUR fellow family, friend, and Knight, Martin (Marty) Lee Samudio, Class of 1979, after a short and valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Marty was an accomplished Professional Chef and Culinary Arts instructor for over forty (40) years. Throughout his culinary adventures, where he explored and learned many different cuisines and cultures, he did not travel alone but with his beautiful wife of seventeen (17) years, San Juanita, and his amazing daughter, Hope, and their adventures were enhanced by the love they all shared. Marty enjoyed those adventures with his lovely family, but his adventures always lead him to his beloved hometown of San Antonio, Texas and his family, friends, and Holy Cross Brothers. Marty has joined several '79ers, Edward Tovar, Carlos Guardiola, Michael Berkley, Michael Gonzalez, Rudy Ledesma, Mark Martinez, and Jaime Parra, and is preparing their feast, as only he can, to celebrate his and their homegoing and preparing for future family, friends, and Knights celebrations. We are asking not only for prayers but for contributions to help with funeral and medical expenses in the family's time of need.
