Iryna, a 20 year old college student native to Ukraine, was killed in a bicycle/ vehicle accident on late Tuesday, June 23rd in Spirit Lake. She was traveling to her home in Arnolds Park after she had left work.
Iryna, a student at the Podilsky State Technical Agrarian University in her home country of Ukraine, was studying Agricultural Technology in forestry & horticultural. Iryna was here in the US as part of the Summer Work & Travel program in which she would have been staying until September. She was working two full time jobs at the Spirit Lake Dairy Queen and the Inn of Okoboji.
We are asking for donations to help out her family back in the Ukraine to help ease the burden of the financial costs to get her back home as well as to pay off debts in which they incurred to get her to the US originally! Thank you!
