Supporting Wendy’s Family During This Heartbreaking Time

Our beloved step-sister Wendy never felt like a “step” anything — she was truly family. From the moment she entered our lives, she brought warmth, kindness, and love into every room she walked into.

I’ll never forget when the roads were bad one winter night — Wendy welcomed me into her home without hesitation, made me a home-cooked meal, and made sure I had a safe place to stay. When I quit my job and doubted myself, she reminded me of my worth and told me I deserved better. That was who Wendy was — always caring for others, always lifting people up, no matter what she was going through herself.

Today, our hearts are shattered as Wendy is in the ICU. Sadly, the doctors don’t believe she will recover. She has just entered hospice care and is being kept comfortable, surrounded by family and love.

Wendy’s kindness, contagious laughter, and giving heart touched everyone she met. She will forever be remembered for her light and the way she made everyone feel special.

As her loved ones face this incredibly difficult time, we want to help give back to her family — Tyler and Megan — who have been by her side through it all. We are raising funds to help support them through this heartbreaking transition and, if possible, to purchase a mobility van for Tyler so he can continue to experience the world around him — something Wendy would have wanted so deeply.
