Supporting Sophie

Hello Friends and Family,

At this time, we are raising funds for a very special family. Sophie, a ten-year-old girl’s world changed on Feb 13 when she became sick. Sophie was transported via ambulance to the Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon and will remain at the Children’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for an unknown amount of time. At this time Sophie is being closely monitored by her medical team, attempting to stabilize her before performing brain surgery.

The road ahead will be long. While Sophie is in the hospital, her mom, Lorrie, and her father, Rennie are staying by her side and won’t be able to work for the time being. The goal of the Go-Fund me is to raise money to support the family as they are unable to work as they stay close to their daughter. With both parents unable to work this increases financial stress significantly.

This journey will be challenging, but Sophie has the love and support of her family, friends, faith and an incredible medical team. Any contribution would make a difference and is much appreciated. With respect and understanding the tough times in our current economy, if donating isn’t a possibility right now, please feel free to share this post with friends and family.
