Axle's Surgery Fund

Donation protected
A year ago, my mom purchased a beautiful little puppy, Axle, to help her with her mental health. Axle had a traumatic entrance into the world; while his mother was giving birth, his ear ripped and as a result, the ear canal completely closed off. His ear was stitched up, and my mom fell in love with the little underdog. She took him home with the understanding that he may have hearing problems in that ear and that the ear would lay flat instead of perked up.

However, lately, Axle has been experiencing a lot of pain in that ear from built up pressure. It is causing him a lot of suffering and a loss of appetite. My mom took him to a very reputable vet clinic, and they told her that he would require a special type of surgery where he will need his entire ear canal reconstructed. The vet believes that this surgery should give Axle back his full hearing, too. The surgery itself was quoted at $4000. He will need to have a cat scan first so the vet can see exactly where he needs to operate, which is quoted for another $1000. My mom has already spent a lot of money on multiple vet visits that required blood tests and examinations, so this is a huge unexpected added expense for her.

In normal circumstances, we would be able to take care of this financially, but because of covid, our family has been hit hard financially. We do not want to have to put Axle down as he is a beloved part of our family and my nephew's best buddy.

If you can donate or share this with others, our family would greatly appreciate any help we can receive to get Axle happy and healthy again!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
